I was born on March 5, 1970 in Concordia s/S. (Modena, Italy), and my love for nature and naturalistic photography was born here, too.
I have been drawn by nature since I was a child: I started to do birdwatching when I went out fishing in the channels and rivers around my area.
When I was 14, thanks to the famous Italian ornithologist Carlo Giannella, an important change came and my innate love for nature grew even stronger.
He patiently taught me the secrets to watch and identify birds; I will always be grateful to him for the beautiful years spent together on the field.
Later on, my interest for photography prevailed, because I felt the need to catch and fix on film the wonderful moments I spent close to those wonderful creatures...
Sometimes I think that photography is just an excuse to spend my spare time at close contact with nature, whatever the weather, and this completely gratifies me, even if I go back home whithout having taken any shots.
After some good placings at national competitions, in 2004 I participated in the most famous naturalistic photography world contest, “Wildlife Photographer of the year”, where I got an important award: this has repaid and strengthened my passion.
